Dr Ana Laidley, aka Aninha Malandro, grew up in the cradle of Samba in Rio de Janeiro: Estação Primeira de Mangueira, where her father is a very well-known respected musician and her mother was one of the first female “passistas” samba dancers. In this all-levels workshop, participants will explore a variety of samba steps and increase self and spatial awareness together with musicality. Whether you are new to Samba, or a long time samba lover, don’t miss this opportunity to develop and enrich your samba with Aninha’s unique style, deep knowledge and amazing talent.

More about Aninha:
Ana, with over three decades of teaching experience across the U.S., Australia, Canada, Japan, and Europe, weaves psychology and samba seamlessly. Here, you'll not only learn the steps but also reconnect with your body, mind, and soul.

Aninha Malandro isn't just a teacher; she's a cultural bridge, a keeper of traditions, and a force that transcends borders. She co-founded the International Samba Congress, a global celebration of samba that pulses beyond Brazil's shores. From Europe to Australia, her influence resonates, and her passion ignites.

So, are you ready? Lace up your dancing shoes, sway to the intoxicating rhythm, and let Ana guide you into the heart of samba magic.
